After seventeen years at The Engineer in Primrose Hill, Abigail Osborne and Tamsin Olivier were forced out after the lease on the premises expired and their landlords, FTSE 250 company Mitchells and Butlers, refused to renew; reoccupying the site to run it as part of their estate of over 1000 branded high-street operations and un-branded pubs.
On 17th October the doors to The Hampshire Hog were opened! Abi and Tam, along with many members of The Engineer team have put their heart and soul in to this new West London pub. Bringing with them the same passion and flair, The Hampshire Hog is sure to become an integral part of the local community, as well as a destination for good food and drink, in the same way that The Engineer has for the last seventeen years.
The team is led by General Manager, Ed Francis who ran The Engineer for 2 1/2 years and previously worked at The Botanist on Sloane Square and at many venues for the Soho House group. The kitchen is headed up by Christopher Lyon, who has a stellar CV of positions both in his native Brisbane and here in London.
Please do say hello when you come in. We look forward to seeing you in W6!
